Ranveer Allahbadia Faces Legal Action Over Controversial Remarks on ‘India’s Got Latent’
Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, is facing legal trouble following an official complaint against him and show host Samay Raina for allegedly "promoting obscenity" on India’s Got Latent. Filed by Akshit Singh, the complaint has prompted the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) to take action.
A screenshot of the complaint, shared by the handle @HinduITCell on X (formerly Twitter), confirms that Amarendra Singh, Deputy Secretary at MIB, has been directed to review the matter. Critics have called for strict action, with some demanding the removal of their YouTube channels.
Allahbadia’s controversial remarks, including an explicit question to a contestant, have drawn severe backlash. While some argue that his content crosses the line, others support the complaint as a step toward curbing inappropriate humour in digital media. The case is currently under review by the ministry.
The Questions That Landed Ranveer Allahbadia in Controversy
In an attempt to match the edgy humour of India’s Got Latent and its host, Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia crossed a line with questions so provocative that even Raina—known for his unapologetic comedic style—appeared taken aback.
During the show, Allahbadia first asked a contestant an inappropriate question about their anatomy. However, he didn’t stop there. He followed up with another shocking query—one reportedly borrowed from another YouTube show—posing an unsettling dilemma:
"Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?"
The remarks quickly went viral, sparking outrage on social media and contributing to the legal complaint against him.
